Challenging the mix of public policy issues with humanity's well being!

October 14th, 15th & 16th, 2004
Delta Bessborough Hotel
Saskatoon, SK Canada

Presented by the University of Saskatchewan

Over 20 speakers and 100 thinkers and policy actors will convene in Saskatoon to examine the interconnectivity of public policy issues with human well-being and the tensions this produces. The conference will focus on 3 key questions:

1. Can science retain independence and objectivity in the face
of demands to meet commercial and public policy objectives?

2. In what ways is scientific discourse privileged in the
formation of public policy?

3. How can scientific knowledge and scientific methodology be made
compatible with the interdisciplinarity and integration required
of public policy discourse and formation?
